For three thoudand years the Chinese have procticed the art of Fung Shui.
Fung Shui, literally translated means "wind and water".
Fung Shui is the
practice of placement directly related to energy or "chi" and it's affects on
human well-being, accomplishments and relationships generally speaking.
Fung Shui is directly related to Taosim, which is both a religion and a philosophy
based on the balance and patterns in nature. The definition of "Tao" is principle
or process and path or road.
As seen, the world is made up of hmanity's interaction with nature and the
energy working with all things, yin and yang. Yin being feminine and yang
masculine.
The principal works off the four cardianl directions, north, south, east and west.
The bagua is an eight sided diaagram used as a tool to access the site.
The four directions are associated with the seasons. South is summer, recogition
and fame, red and the element of fire: north with winter, career and life's journey,
blue and black and the element of water: west with autumn, children, white and the
element of metal.
Practicing the art of Fung Shui can create a more harmonious environment in the garden.
